Fall is finally upon us. The leaves have begun their annual ritual, going from green to assorted Autumn hues before finally going brown and falling from the trees. The nights are getting cooler...... did you turn your heat on yet?

Days like these immediately make my thoughts turn southward to thoughts of palm trees and sapphire tropical waters.

Many of my friends have already headed out, searching out that warmer surf. One of the few pluses of being an old guy, many of my buddies are retired and no longer have any restrictions. My life though is different. The last year has been incredibly stressfull........... I almost had to start from the beginning again!

But after a nearly 2 year hiatus, next week I'll be headed back to the islands I love. I'll get to see some long lost friends, visit some of my favorite places and get to surf some of those incredible waves.

Oh by the way, did I mention Fall is upon us?
