The Tropics Awaken!

After an early Summer that mostly featured small wind swell waves, the tropics finally seems to have come alive. TS Dorian is making it's way westward towards the Caribbean. Most of the computer models do not yet agree on the track Dorian will ultimately take, but at least a couple have it masking the turn towards the North. All we can do is watch and hope!

On the satellite images of Africa several other systems are lined up ready to enter the Atlantic....... It could really be a fun month coming up!

Another Rainy Day!!!!

Oh whoa is me........ another rainy day! After the second wettest June in history, July is proving not to be much better. We are stuck on the edge of an enormous Bermuda High which just continually keeps pumping moisture up the East Coast........... the Result! Humid unsettled, rainy weather.

Governor Chris Christie visits Eastern Lines

Governor Chris Christie stopped by the Shop on Wednesday 7/03 to check on the repairs to the Shop after Sandy. We were given one of the very first State Grants to help re-reimburse us for the repairs.

The Governor was extremely gracious stopping to meet and talk to anyone that wanted to meet him or even share a photo.

During our conversations we told him about the Belmar Pro and this being it's 10th Anniversary. Without hesitation he looked at me and said I'm ............ I'll definitely be back!

All in all it was a great visit!
